How do I begin the process? What can I expect when contracting elder care/senior services from Judy's Caregiving Solutions?
After an initial phone call/email, an appointment will be made for Judy to meet the client and any others involved in the caregiving. The meeting usually takes place in the client’s home or wherever the service(s) will take place. Meetings can be scheduled during the day or evening in order to accommodate those who need to be involved in securing services for the client.
Through informal conversation, services will be described, and suggestions will be made to meet the needs of the client. Typical discussion items include the level of service, scheduling, cost estimate, and answering any questions. In the case where there’s a medical component related to the service request, background information will be noted, such as diagnosis, medications, emergency plan, etc.
What are the costs for the services Judy's Caregiving Solutions provides?
Judy’s Caregiving Solutions charges an hourly rate. There is typically a minimum of 4 hours of service required, but short shifts can be accommodated. Major holiday rates are billed at time and a half. Major holidays include New Year’s Day, Presidents’ Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
What areas do you cover around Boston, MA?
We can serve a client population within a 70-mile radius of the Greater Boston area.
Once I/we decide to use Judy's Caregiving Solutions, how long before the first visit?
Typically, Judy will have an employee ready to work within 2 days of engaging the client. For the first visit, she will meet with the client and/or family members to go over the care plan. Judy will follow up by placing the respective caregiver in the home and ensure consistency of service.
What kind of training/certification do Judy's Caregiving Solutions employees have?
Employees will have either a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification or a Home Health Assistant (HHA) certification.
Does Judy's Caregiving Solutions do a background check on employees?
Yes, only employees who have passed the CORI check will deliver services.
Payments
Private pay as well as long-term care insurance. We accept personal checks, bank transfers, etc., per payment.
